First Line: I'm slumped at my desk, fighting to keep my eyes open.
Review: I had a great time reading Slide. It held my attention and I really thought the ability of sliding into people’s minds was really interesting.
I liked Vee’s character she has pink hair and doesn't care what others think of her while also coming to her sisters side when she needed her the most. She was truly a great character whom I enjoyed reading about. As far as Vee’s ability of sliding is concerned she really had no control over her abilities until later on when she was slowly starting to figure it out and at times I felt so bad for her because I can only imagine what it would be like to have no control over yourself and be thrown into other people’s minds then learn things about them that you probably would never want to know.
Another character I really was interested in learning more about was Rollins, his home life was so messed up but we never learn how or why. He was a mystery to me in many ways and someone who I would love to learn more about as the series continues.
Now as far as the mystery of the murders and who the killer was I kept bouncing around with Vee on that one, one moment I thought it was one person then the next someone else. I didn’t really figure out who the murderer was until the last few chapters of the book and I have to give a thumbs up to Hathaway for doing a good job with keeping up with the mystery aspect of the book.
Overall Slide was an entertaining read and a great start to a series which has a lot of potential.
