Blog Tour:Advice for Aspiring Writers by Cami Checketts + Giveaway

Blog Tour Schedule

1.       Writing is the greatest profession in the world.

2.       Only become a writer if you absolutely must write. Very few writers ever get wealthy, and it’s a tough profession, especially if you don’t enjoy writing.

3.       Read every chance you get.

4.       Real people are more important than imaginary. Try to live in the real world at least part of the time.

5.       Don’t mention your mother-in-law in your books, for some reason they take exception to that.

6.       You’re an eccentric writer, enjoy being a bit crazy.

7.       Never waste time on anything that is nonessential: television, video games, cleaning the house, embroidering Christmas stockings (unless you enjoy that).

8.       Do something fun and active to counteract hours of sitting on your backside or it could grow.

9.       Do everything you can to learn how to become a better writer: workshops, conferences, books on writing, articles on writing, classes on writing, etc.

10.   Don’t ever, ever, ever give up.

Dead Running

Cassidy Christensen is running.
Running from the mercenaries who killed her parents.
Running from a scheming redhead intent on making her life miserable.
Running from painful memories that sabotage her dreams of happiness.

With two very tempting men competing for her attention, she hopes she'll finally have someone to run to, but can she trust either of them? When secrets from her past threaten her family, Cassidy decides to stop running and fight for her future.

Dying to Run

Cassidy Christensen wants to run.

Captured by the traffickers who killed her mother, her only hope is Dr. Tattoo, a man she loves but nobody trusts. When she finally gets a chance to run, someone else she cares about is taken. Running might be her only chance at survival, but she won’t allow another family member to be killed in her place.

This must-read sequel to Dead Running will have you laughing, biting your nails, and hoping for more.

Thanks for the hilarious advice! I think it's definitely safe to say "don't mention the mother-in-law". Too funny. I'm "dying" to read these books.
