Music for ENTANGLEMENTS: an unofficial novel soundtrack
By: P.R. Mason
Music can be a great inspiration for my writing. Listening to a song immediately brings to mind a setting, conveys the essence of a character, and/or sets a mood. So, if I'm writing a scene, listening to a particular song is a perfect writer's tool to help the process along. Now that my novel ENTANGLEMENTS has been released, I can readily identify some of the songs on my iPod that are a "mood match" for many of its pivotal scenes and sections.
Entanglements is a full-length urban fantasy. It's the story of KIZZY TAYLOR, a teen who's just hoping for an evening of fun when she joins her friends in a spelunking expedition through an under-city tunnel. But fun turns bizarre when Kizzy accidentally opens a vortex and her stepsister is swept through to an evil alternate dimension. The only way to rescue her stepsister is to reopen the vortex and go in after her. But is her new boyfriend, ROM CALIXO, going to help Kizzy or try to stop her? And if she can get past Rom, will she be able to get back home?
The following is the unofficial soundtrack for Entanglements. You can click HERE (http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL745351B74DD5A166&feature=mh_lolz) to listen to the playlist via Youtube.

DeleteThis is the first time I have seen this book. It looks very intersting. Thanks for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteMusic is the soundtrack of life so I can totally see how a writer can use music to inspire their novels. And it's actually kind of cool to know what music they were listening to or had in their heads during their writing process. Off that list I only know the Katy Perry and Adele songs.
ReplyDeleteI hate to say "Ditto" but I was just thinking almost the same thing as Jade in regard to the Book's Music Soundtrack :) Thanks for the chance to read another great book and add it to my home library collection. Have a great 2012 writing year too!!
